About the Author

Donald Louis Giddens wrote this course to reach the growing numbers of people world-wide who want to know more about the Jesus depicted in Mel Gibson's "The Passion of Christ" and "The Jesus Film".

The Four Gospels are four separate eyewitness accounts of the pre-existence, birth, life, death, and resurrection, and ascension of Jesus Christ.

Giddens has combined them into one narrative to facilitate this study.

What you decide about Jesus can effect your life, family, and nation.

Many who buy this study through the Internet will live in countries where the teachings of Jesus are discouraged or prohibited. Maybe you do not even have a Bible available.

Introduction

The School of Tyrannus was an open forum in Ephesus to discuss religions. The Apostle Paul disputed there daily with Jews and Greeks sharing his faith in Jesus Christ. We desire to present an opportunity for people of all religions or no religion to study the truths of the Holy Bible.

Acts 19.9. Paul departed from them, and separated the disciples, disputing daily in the school of one Tyrannus.

10. And this continued by the space of two years; so that all they which dwelt in Asia heard the word of the Lord Jesus, both Jews and Greeks.

Study Course

Course of study: The Absolute Certainty Jesus Is the Messiah by Don L. Giddens

Scope: Examine the life of Christ in the light of the Four Gospels.

Participants: Anyone of any nationality or religion who wishes to know more about Jesus' teachings and life. Who was this Jesus? What did He teach?

Purpose of the course: To present evidence proving Jesus is the Messiah to seekers.

Open course- available to believers and any other persons interested in knowing more about Jesus.

This may also be used as a study on the harmony of the Gospels or the Life of Christ.

It may be divided into from four to fifty-two lessons.

Opening Day

Welcome to the Study of the Messiah, Jesus Christ.

People of all religions or no religion are invited to this school. We insist that each person be treated with equality, respect and kindness no matter what 1) your name. 2) Your nationality 3) religion or no religion. Thank you. Agreed?

You are welcome here as if you were a juror in a trial. Your decision is of utmost importance. It will affect you, your life, your family, and even the course of your nation.

The person on trial here, is JESUS. The evidence is found in the historical Biblical records, the Holy Bible. The Evangelists (Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John) prove beyond a shadow of a doubt JESUS is the MESSIAH, the SON of GOD, and GOD the SON. Let us examine their records carefully, and prayerfully. If one iota of evidence is proven false, some may decide they have proven their case that Jesus is not the Christ; however, to prove He is the CHRIST, every bit of evidence must be concluded true.

The evidence we have, written by the Four Evangelists, Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John between 32 and 96 AD, has not been contaminated. We will present to you other Scriptures concerning Jesus who is called the Christ.

You will be allowed to discuss the evidence among yourselves after class or in groups, as the instructor decides. We ask that you promise to examine all the evidence fairly.

At any time, you can decide for yourself the statements of the eyewitnesses are wrong and leave the class if you wish. Some of you will leave the first lesson. If so, thank you for your interest in Jesus. I hope that you will search the Holy Bible in the Prophets, Psalms, and the New Testament for yourself and your family.

If you are not a believer in Jesus you may decide to reject all the evidence as blasphemy. We realize that you are not here because you want to become a Christian (if you are not.)

Our goal is to answer the question of Solomon,

" Who hath ascended up into Heaven, or descended? Who hath gathered the wind in his fists? Who hath bound the waters in a garment? Who hath established all the ends of the earth? What is His name, and what is His Son's name, if thou canst tell? Proverbs 30.4.

Christians could call this course "A Harmony of the Gospels", or a study course on the "Life of Christ" but our objective is to use it to reach out to our friends and neighbors of any religion or no religion with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

AΩ The Absolute Certainty Jesus Is the Christ is based upon the proofs given in the eyewitness accounts of the four evangelists in the Four Gospels. We have inserted an AΩ or Alpha Omega each time there is a reference to Jesus Christ as the Messiah or having or exhibiting an attribute of GOD or a Name of GOD- proving JESUS is GOD!

the Bread, the Life, the Water, the Everlasting ONE, the Righteous One, the Just One, The Holy One, Nazarene, Servant, Governor, forgiver,

foreknowledge, performed miracles, knowledge of God and God's will, pre-existent, knows people's thoughts, Son of David,

the Door, the Good Shepherd,

the Soon Returning Son of man,

answers prayers, knows the future, knows all about the Kingdom of God, Heaven, and Eternity.

The Kingdom of God in Heaven

Only the King would have known the details Jesus told in the Four Gospels about the Kingdom of God and/or Heaven.

Verses containing references to the Kingdom of God are marked with AΩ (Alpha Omega) since His Kingdom is an everlasting Kingdom on the Throne of David, and the house of Jacob, the seed of Abraham in Jerusalem, and Heaven.

The scepter of His Kingdom is righteousness and demands repentance, and rebirth, by believing the Gospel of Jesus Christ's death, burial, and resurrection.

The Purpose of This Book

Luke 1. 4. That thou mightest know the certainty of those things, wherein thou hast been instructed.

1. John Proves Jesus Was GOD

IN THE BEGINNING

AΩ In the beginning was the Word,[3] and the Word was with GOD, and the Word was GOD.

The same was in the beginning with GOD. All things were made by Him; and without Him was not any thing made that was made. [4] John 1.1.

AΩ John 1. 14. And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

Genesis 1. 1. In the beginning GOD created the Heaven and the earth.

Isaiah 43. 13. Yea, before the day was I am he.

Luke 1.4. That thou mightest know the certainty of those things, wherein thou hast been instructed.

Evidence: Where was JESUS In the Beginning?

AΩ According to the Book of John, Jesus was with _ _ _ before the world was made. (We know John was referring to Jesus as the WORD by John 1.10. He was in the world, and the world was made by Him, and the world knew him not.)

Exodus 17.15 has the tetragram Y_H_W_H. No one knows the letters inserted in the blanks.

Hebrews 1.5b. And again, I will be to him a FATHER, and He shall be to me a SON? 6. And again, when He bringeth in the first Begotten into the world, He AΩ saith, And let all the angels of GOD worship Him. 7. And of the angels He saith, Who maketh His angels spirits, and His ministers a flame of fire.

GOD CALLS JESUS, GOD!

AΩ Hebrews 1.8. But unto the SON He saith, Thy throne, O GOD, is for ever and ever: a sceptre[9] of righteousness is the sceptre of Thy Kingdom.

In English, we have Jehovah, so the name will be pronounceable to us. Psalm 68.4 has the name, JAH. Some pronounce it "Jahweh", but they are no closer than any other pronunciation. No one knows!

AΩ Isaiah 44. 6. Thus saith the Lord the King of Israel, and his Redeemer the Lord of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God.

Jesus said in Revelation 1. 8. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.

The Holy Spirit[10]- inspired writer of Hebrews chapter five makes some startling statements about Jesus-

The purpose of the Evangelists is to prove just that! Read Luke 1.4 .[11]

Hebrews 1.9. Thou that hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore GOD, even thy GOD, hath anointed Thee with the oil of gladness above Thy fellows.

AΩ Hebrews 1.10. And, Thou, LORD, in the beginning hast laid the foundation

of the earth; and the Heavens are the works of Thine hands.

We must consider 1 Corinthians 15.27!

Evidence: The Genealogies Prove He was of the Lineage of Abraham and David

The Messiah had to be the Seed of Abraham, and of the tribe of Judah, and the throne of David.

Abraham, Judah, and David are all ancestors of the Christ child.

Using historical and Biblical information, you can add up all the ages recorded in the "begats" and arrive at the approximate date I did, and Bishop .

the dates in between by averaging.
