THE AMERICAN HOLOCAUST
By Don Giddens
A Eulogy for the Victims of
the American Holocaust[1]:
Abortion
Psalm 139:13 13. For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast
covered me in my mother's womb.
14. I will praise thee;
for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvelous are thy works; and that my
soul knoweth right well.
15. My substance was not
hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest
parts of the earth.
16. Thine eyes did see my
substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written,
which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.
17. How precious also are
thy thoughts unto me, O God! how great is the sum of them!
18. If I should count
them, they are more in number than the sand: when I awake, I am still with
thee.
Preached at the First Baptist
Church, East Carbon, Utah 5/19/1996
We are gathered here today
to pay our long overdue and unpaid respects for 33,000,000[2]
babies of America- land of the free (clinics) and the brave (doctors)
who slew them ere they were
born:
4200 per day, 1,600,000 a
year
until the ever rising total
is now
twenty times all the
American dead in all of America’s wars!
Revolutionary, Civil, World
Wars I and II, and Vietnam.[3]
A brave nation- we fought
out British cousins for our liberty; we fought brother against brother in the
War between the States, We fought the Spanish, Mexico, and the Indian Wars.
American Italians fought Italy’s Mussolini, American Germans fought Hitler’s
Germany, American Japanese fought Japan, American Indians fought for us against
their brothers.
And now we sit hands folded,
beer bellied, pot-smoking, crazed by crack, drugged by behavioral
pseudoscientists, raised by television, disciplined by no one-
Standing for nothing, we fall for anything.
We sit! While you babies,
our most precious possessions, die. Worse- are murdered! Worse- ripped asunder!
Worse- salted! Worse- beheaded! And thrown into garbage bags, and dumpsters and
nameless places…no burial, no funeral, no prayer.
For you helpless children,
we gather to give you a prayer, a flower. A farewell. We want to say, we love
you, we need you, we failed you.
We want to say we are sorry,
not daring to ask forgiveness.
We did not even get to say
good-bye. Not a hug. Not a kiss. We will see you again.
There are some things we
want to tell you..
We want to tell you, you
were beautiful! You were red-headed. You were blonde. Your hair was curly,
black, brown. You were bald. But, the moment we saw you, we knew you looked
just like your mother. You had your daddy’s eyes. Your eyes were black, blue,
green, hazel, brown. You had your mother’s dimples. Your daddy’s hands, your
grandmother’s smile.
You were perfect!
So, good-bye, little perfect
ones. You did not do anything wrong. It was not your fault . Most of you the doctors said would not be
perfect were. If you were not “normal” you were to be the joy that lit our
home. Now we sit joyless in a childless home.
You were to be the burden
that bent our knees- our burden is greater without you. You were to be the
cause for us to work, to play, to live- and now we have lost our will to live.
You were to give us a greater crown for a greater reward in Heaven- we have
lost our joy and crown.
To all of you we kneel in
your memory and ask for forgiveness. We are sorry. We love you. We will miss
you everyday of our life. We will miss you everyday that would have been your
birthday, your first day of school, your graduation. In every face of the
graduates we will search for the one who could have been you.
One thing that grieves us
most is that we never had the opportunity to tell you good-bye.
Good-bye, Ken and Chris,
Alex and Andy, Sabrina and Justin, Liz and Billy, and Dan, and Sam, and Johnny,
and all the nameless ones, homeless, and
rejected.
Good-bye. Sorry. See you.
Shall we pray,
Our father in Heaven, we
pray for these children- 33,000,000, and for the broken and crushed mothers,
fathers, grandparents, brothers and sisters. Our nation does not deserve mercy
and I do not ask for mercy. I ask Thee, Lord to
Stop the slaughter of the
innocents, whatever it takes.
Avenge the blood of those
who cry out for vengeance.
Even so, come quickly, Lord
Jesus, Amen.
