part.

that which is in part shall be done away.
11. When I was a child, I spake as a child, I
understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put
away childish things.

founded upon a rock. 26. And every one that heareth these sayings of
mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his

go to a god where the sheep die for the Shepherd? You do not have to die for
your sins, Jesus did! Suicide, even homicidal suicide, is futile- Jesus died
for all your sin and mine. Take your burdens to Jesus. Do not take them out on
innocent people. That is first-degree premeditated murder.

Grief Counseling
for Depression Caused by Guilt
No one but you knows the traumatic emotions you are going through
if you are living a life of depression because of past failures and sin.
You cannot forgive yourself. You think you deserve to afflict
yourself rather than accept the joy, peace and righteousness God offers in His
Son. You think being a Christian means to kick yourself the rest of your life
for your sin. Wrong! Being a Christian is to accept forgiveness. Jesus died for
you sin! You do not have to! Jesus carried your sorrow. You cannot carry them.
I hope you will find the joy and comfort God offers freely in the following
verses.
We forgive you. We will be your friends.
Don and Minnie Giddens
1.
Jesus died for our sins[i]-
all of them. If Jesus died for them you do not have to make yourself pay for
them the rest of your life. Instead, let it go, and accept God's forgiveness
when you admit your guilt[ii].
Accept His forgiveness. You know He will never remember them any more. The
alternative is to not forgive yourself, not to accept His offer of forgiveness
by dying for that sin, and living your life in guilt and remorse. Then, facing
God who will ask the question, "Why? I sent my Son to die for the worst
sin." You rejected Him, and rejected me.
2.
Jesus died for our sorrows. We sometimes glory in the valleys[iii],
and have been accustomed to carrying our pain so long we want to keep on. Our
sin is something we think demands a lifetime wallow in sorrow and depression.
You do not have to pay for your sin by dying. You do not pay for your sin by
grieving. Jesus carried our sorrows on the cross. Every lash on His back was
for your sorrow. Every brutal blow was because for your sorrow. So, my friend,
let go, and let Jesus carry every tear. Every howling accusation leveled at
Jesus was for you sin. He paid it all.
3.
He arose victorious over sin and death. Do you think when He came
out of the tomb He was still carrying your sorrow? Of course not: He left it
all in the tomb. Removed it as far as the East is from the West, never to
remember it again!
Our sins are
gone. Our grieving has been done. We won. Jesus won for us. Christianity is
joy, peace, and righteousness; not remorse, and ungodly worry.
Suppose you were convicted to the
electric chair for murder. Guilty. Heaven's doors were closed. Eternity loomed
ahead with grief that never left for your sin. YOUR sin. Then, suppose the
Judge, the Righteous Judge, would say, I know you deserve the penalty. I know
you cannot avoid death, but I am going to die with you. We are going to buried
together six feet deep. And in three days we are coming out together. Free! The
guilt paid. Joyful- the sin and shame gone!
When Jesus died on the cross we died
with Him.
When He arose we arose with Him.
Our life now is hid in God.
Please pray this prayer of thanksgiving-
Heavenly Father,
Jesus wept enough for my sin of
________. I weep no more.
Jesus paid enough for my sin ___________
I pay no more.
I cannot weep enough. I cannot pay
enough. I am poor, naked, blind, helpless.
All I have is Jesus.
Thank you, Father, for sending your Son
to die for my sin, and my sorrow.
I offer to you my joyful praises
forever.
Amen.
Isaiah 53.3. He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and
acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was
despised, and we esteemed him not.
4. Surely he hath borne
our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of
God, and afflicted.
5. But he was wounded for
our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our
peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
So we can help others 2 Corinthians 1. 3. Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord
Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; 4. Who comforteth us in all our tribulation,
that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort
wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God. 5. For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation
also aboundeth by Christ.
So we will trust God, not
ourselves. 2Corinthians 1. 8. For we
would not, brethren, have you ignorant of our trouble which came to us in Asia,
that we were pressed out of measure, above strength, insomuch that we despaired
even of life:
9. But we had the sentence of death in
ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves, but in God which raiseth the
dead:
So others can see Jesus in
us. 2 Corinthians 4. 7. But we
have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be
of God, and not of us. 8. We are
troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in
despair; 9. Persecuted, but not
forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed; 10.
Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that
the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body. 11. For we which live are alway delivered unto
death for Jesus' sake, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in
our mortal flesh.
So we can have fellowship with Him! Philippians 3. 10.
That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the
fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death
Chastening because of continual sin in our life. Hebrews 12.
6. For whom the Lord loveth he
chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth. 7.
If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son
is he whom the father chasteneth not?
8. But if ye be without
chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons.
9. Furthermore we have had fathers of
our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much
rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live? 10. For they verily for a few days chastened us
after their own pleasure; but he for our profit, that we might be partakers of
his holiness.
James 1. 12. Blessed is
the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the
crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.
So we will be more like Jesus. 1 Peter 1. 6. Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a
season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations: 7.
That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that
perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour
and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:
1 Peter 4. 12. Beloved,
think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though
some strange thing happened unto you:
13. But rejoice, inasmuch as ye
are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed,
ye may be glad also with exceeding joy. 14.
If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye; for the spirit
of glory and of God resteth upon you: on their part he is evil spoken of, but
on your part he is glorified. 15. But
let none of you suffer as a murderer, or as a thief, or as an evildoer, or as a
busybody in other men's matters.
16. Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let
him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf.
Isaiah 57. 15. For thus saith the high and lofty One that
inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place,
with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of
the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones.

Repent? From what exactly should we
repent? There are several lists in the New Testament of people who should NOT
think they are going to Heaven! Let's not fool ourselves. If we are on this
lists we had better get off today by submitting to the righteousness of Christ!
Repent and believe.

uncleanness, lasciviousness, 20. Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance,
emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, 21. Envyings, murders,

have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not
inherit the Kingdom of God.

believe the death of the SON of GOD on the Cross was not enough for them to go
